The goal for NEO was to challenge the standard e-commerce model. We asked, 'How can we build a marketplace that respects both the buyer's time and the seller's effort?' The answer was a relentless focus on simplicity and clarity for both sides of the transaction.
About the Project
NEO is a concept for a multi-vendor marketplace designed to overcome the common frustrations found on major platforms. My role was to research these pain points for both buyers and sellers and design a more intuitive, modern, and community-focused UI/UX solution from the ground up, creating a more respectful and efficient online ecosystem.

A Dual-Audience Design Approach
My process began with extensive competitive analysis to pinpoint key frustrations for both buyers and sellers. This research led to the development of two distinct user flows that, while separate, felt part of one cohesive, simple, and modern platform. The focus was always on clarity and efficiency, whether for a first-time buyer making a purchase or a small business owner managing their store.

Prominent Guest Checkout
The guest checkout option is the most visually dominant path on the cart page, removing ambiguity and respecting the user's time.
Simplified Seller Analytics
Instead of overwhelming data tables, the seller dashboard features clean, high-level modules for sales and inventory, with options to drill down for more detail.
Community-Focused Discovery
The design emphasizes seller stories and curated collections on the homepage, creating a more engaging and less transactional shopping experience.
