The challenge with Trickee wasn't just about presenting data; it was about transforming a driver's anxiety into confidence. For new EV owners, every percentage point of battery life can be stressful. My goal was to design a 'co-pilot' that turns that uncertainty into a feeling of complete control and empowerment on the road
About the Project
When this project began, Electric Vehicles were a new frontier in the Indian market, and early adopters lacked the digital tools to make ownership feel seamless. The challenge wasn't just about managing range anxiety; it was about creating the first comprehensive support system for a new wave of drivers. As the lead UI/UX designer, my role was to translate complex data—real-time vehicle stats, driving habits, charging logistics—into a simple, supportive, and empowering mobile experience.

Designing for a New Market
How do you design an intuitive app for early EV adopters in a market with limited charging infrastructure and a general lack of established digital tools?
Tackling Range Anxiety
How can the UI instill confidence and reduce 'range anxiety' by making complex information like battery life, route planning, and charging stops feel simple and reliable?
Translating Data into Insight
How can raw sensor data (like G-force from braking) be translated into a friendly, easy-to-understand report that helps users become better drivers without feeling criticized?
From Insight to Interface
The process was rooted in understanding the unique anxieties and needs of first-time EV owners. Through an iterative design process, I focused on simplifying every interaction to build user confidence. Constant feedback loops with stakeholders ensured the final design truly felt like a supportive "co-pilot," turning what could be a stressful experience into a manageable and even enjoyable one.
Features & Solutions
The "Co-Pilot" Dashboard
A clean, non-intimidating dashboard that surfaces the most critical information—range and battery—prominently, while keeping secondary data easily accessible.
Proactive Charging Suggestions
Instead of just showing stations on a map, the app proactively integrates charging stops into the route-planning phase, automating the solution to range anxiety.
Encouraging Driving Feedback
Driving scores were designed with encouraging language and clear visuals, framing efficiency as a positive goal rather than a criticism of "harsh" driving.


Project Outcome
The result is a comprehensive and user-friendly mobile application that serves as an essential tool for EV owners in an emerging market. By transforming complex data into a simple and supportive 'co-pilot' experience, the Trickee app successfully addresses range anxiety and empowers users to drive with confidence. The application is deployed and available on both the App Store and Google Play.
